Dine, Drink & Unwind at NUQ La Union

Trying out new cuisines is something I enjoy, especially when I have extra money to spare. Nuq is one of the restaurants I recently had the chance to try. I have been eyeing this restaurant for quite some time, and I am happy to have finally paid them a visit.

I love the aesthetic vibe of Nuq and its relaxing ambiance. It is surrounded by plants and trees, which create a soothing atmosphere. Every corner features lush greenery, which is perfect for nature lovers.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas, but we chose to eat indoors since it was almost lunchtime and the temperature outside was scorching. Their alfresco area is spacious, featuring many tables and chairs surrounded by plants.

It’s best to visit during dinnertime when the atmosphere is relaxing and you won’t be bothered by the sun while eating, especially if you want to eat outdoors.

We ordered Kare-kare, and it arrived just a few minutes after placing our order. The service of this restaurant was fast. While the meat was crispy, I found the sauce to be lacking in flavor. Although there was a bagoong that came with it, the overall taste still fell short. I hope they can improve it in the future.

I enjoyed the gising-gising with crispy dilis. It tasted great, and the crispy dilis complemented the vegetables perfectly. I plan to order this again when I return to Nuq. The serving size was sufficient for two people.
Overall, we had a pleasant lunch at Nuq. I plan to try more dishes and relax here in the future. I particularly enjoyed the ambiance, which was peaceful and quiet, and the best thing about it is that it is pet-friendly. I might visit in the evening since I believe it will be more comfortable, as it won’t be as hot. We can sit in the alfresco area to enjoy the fresh air with the two dogs.
