Aling Lucing’s Original Sisig: The Legendary Pampanga Delicacy Since 1974

Sisig is a popular dish in Pampanga that I always love whenever I visit the said province. It has an authentic taste, and I appreciate that it does not have mayonnaise. When it comes to sisig, one of my top favorites is from Aling Lucing’s. Aling Lucing’s Original Sisig has been a legendary Pampanga delicacy since 1974. It’s delicious and loaded with onions. It’s best enjoyed with rice, but I love eating it alone, paired with an ice-cold beer.

In addition to the sisig, we ordered burong hipon (Php 120), which came with one piece of eggplant, as well as tokwa’t baboy (Php 185) and pinaputok na tilapia (Php 120). Everything we ordered was fresh, especially the pinaputok na tilapia. Next time, we will order two tilapias since one was insufficient for two hungry people.

The burong hipon was fresh, and unlike the versions I’ve tried in other restaurants, its smell and taste were not overpowering. It complemented the pinaputok na tilapia we ordered quite well. If I’m not mistaken, they sell it in bottles, making it a great option to enjoy at home or to bring as a “pasalubong” for family and friends.

The tokwa’t baboy is crispy, making it a perfect companion for rice or a refreshing beer. I hope to try more of their offerings, such as chicharron bulaklak, crispy pata, grilled hito, sizzling pusit, and crispy kare-kare.

Aling Lucing’s has some branches in Pampanga, so it’s a good idea to check online for one near your location. My favorite branch is in Clark because I’m a fur mom and always bring my two dogs along, and they have a nice outdoor area. It can get quite hot at times, though, so it’s best to bring a handheld fan with you.
