Mall of Asia’s Must-Try Japanese BBQ | Yakiniku Like!

Last week, I visited Manila and explored SM Mall of Asia. It had been a while since my last visit because I live in the province.

Most of the time, when I visit Manila, it’s only for a few hours before heading back home. This time, I stayed one night to relax and explore some pet-friendly restaurants at SM Mall of Asia.

Before heading to SM Mall of Asia for dinner, I researched pet-friendly restaurants where we could dine with our two dogs. In my search, I found a place called Yakiniku Like!, and we decided to go there.

We were glad to dine indoors; it was our first solo Yakiniku dining experience.

We ordered a Karubi and Harami set (Php 629/200g), which consisted of a short beef plate and skirt steak. Additionally, we ordered extra Karubi at Php 189 per 100 grams.

The Karubi and Harami set is a best-seller in Japan. It comes with rice, soup, and either kimchi or salad. We chose kimchi as our side dish and decided to add an extra serving since there are two of us dining, and one serving of kimchi is suitable for only one person.

We placed our order using my smartphone. I connected to their free Wi-Fi and scanned the code to access the menu. I selected the Karubi and Haramit set and additional Karubi and kimchi, then pressed “checkout” to submit my order. This way of ordering is convenient and hassle-free for both customers and staff. I hope more restaurants adopt this approach.

The meats were incredibly tender and flavorful. Even without condiments or sauces, the meat itself was adequate. Kudos to the team behind this; they have done an amazing job creating delicious meats. After my experience at Yakiniku Like, it became my instant favorite restaurant. I will definitely return to try the other meats they offer. One thing I LOVE about this restaurant is that they are friendly to both humans and pets. They greet you with a smile and are always willing to assist with any requests you may have.
