Riverfarm Restaurant: Dining by the River in Bacnotan

Riverfarm Seafood Restaurant

Since I was craving grilled fish, we decided to visit Riverfarm Seafood Restaurant in Bacnotan, La Union.

I have noticed Riverfarm frequently appearing on Google during my searches for Filipino restaurants to try for lunch or dinner. I’m glad we decided to give it a chance last Sunday.

They are selling items that are perfect for pasalubong gifts to family and friends.

View from our nipa hut

We chose to dine in one of the nipa huts to enjoy the view and breathe in the fresh air. The water is quite clear, but I’m unsure if it’s safe for swimming.

Riverfarm medley

We ordered the Riverfarm Medley, which costs Php 610. It includes one piece of inihaw na bangus, two pieces of inihaw na tilapia, nilagang okra, and inihaw na liempo. However, since tilapia was unavailable that day, the staff suggested substituting it with two additional pieces of inihaw na bangus. Both servings were large, and they also included some seaweed and tomatoes. Everything was fresh, and even though we had to wait a while because the restaurant was busy, it was definitely worth the wait.

Sinigang na pampano (Php 350 per piece)

We also ordered sinigang na pampano, which costs Php 350 per piece. If you order two pieces of pampano, the total will be Php 700; however, since only two of us are eating, one piece is more than enough. The fish is fresh and tastes great. The soup is not overly sour, which suits our taste perfectly. The vegetables included are also fresh. Initially, we ordered three cups of rice, but because the food was so good, we added an extra cup.

We truly enjoyed our dining experience at Riverfarm Restaurant. The food was excellent, the restaurant was pet-friendly, and the views were relaxing. Just imagine enjoying fresh food by the river! The staff was commendable as they were friendly. We will definitely be back.
